  18. We've just installed 8.0.209 running on Solaris 8 [well, I didn't
  19. install it, but I'm assuming there were no problems with it] and I'm
  20. having at look at the Kermit version of FTP - and getting problems
  21. straight away.

  23. I can get to the remote machine, log in with username and password,
  24. and can see I'm in the correct place with PWD.  But when I try DIR (or
  25. FTP DIR, or any combination of upper and lower case) I'm getting
  26.  
  27. ftp: connect: Connection timed out
  28.  
  29. Using a non-Kermit ftp I can DIR and get a listing within seconds.
  30.  
  31. So what am I doing wrong, or where do I need to look to find out
  32. what's set wrong?
